Estimates, not professional approvals
Our tools provide general calculation aids based on your inputs and the formulas and assumptions shown on each page. They do not provide engineering certification, site inspections, electrical installation advice or approval under local building rules. They do not determine whether a design or material is safe or suitable for your project.
Check measurements, units, product specifications, installation requirements and local regulations before ordering materials or carrying out work. Where a task requires a qualified professional, obtain their advice. Worked examples are illustrations, not recommendations for your site.
Accuracy and limitations
We check calculations with automated tests and aim to explain their assumptions clearly. Errors and omissions can still occur. Results depend on the information you enter; real site conditions, cutting layouts, compaction, product yields and supplier rounding can change what you need. Check important results independently and report suspected errors through our Contact page.
Prices and project totals
Prices and currency labels are supplied by you. They are not live supplier quotes. Unit-price estimates use the selected quantity and price unit; quoted totals apply to the individual saved calculation. Check whether a rate applies to a pack, individual item, area, volume or another unit.
Different currencies are totalled separately and are not converted. Items without a currency label are excluded from currency subtotals. Delivery, tax, labour, minimum orders and other charges are not added automatically. A project list is a planning document, not a purchase order, checkout or offer to supply materials.
Saved lists and printed copies
Project lists and favourites are stored in your browser on your device and do not sync across devices. Clearing site data, changing browsers or browser storage limits can remove saved information. Print or save a PDF of important lists. You are responsible for checking copies before sharing them or using them to place an order.
Permitted use
You may use the calculators for personal projects or your own business estimates, and print or share the resulting project lists. Do not misrepresent an estimate as a certified design or a supplier quote. Do not interfere with the website, attempt unauthorised access, distribute malicious software or use the service unlawfully.
Permission to use calculator results does not transfer ownership of the website’s original code, branding or explanatory content. Third-party materials remain subject to their respective owners’ rights. Contact us before republishing substantial parts of the website.
