About this policy
This policy covers Job Totals at jobtotals.com. You can use our construction calculators without creating an account or entering your name, email address or payment details.
Your calculations and project list
Calculations run in your browser. The calculator code does not send the measurements, project labels or supplier prices you enter to a Job Totals database. When you add an item to your project, its measurements, results and any price you supplied are saved in this browser on this device.
Printing or saving a PDF creates a copy through your browser. Copying a list puts it on your device’s clipboard. You control where those copies go. Avoid including sensitive personal information in project labels, especially on a shared device.
Storage on your device
- Project cart: saved in local browser storage so you can return to your list.
- Saved calculators: your favourites are saved in local browser storage.
- Unit preference: your metric or imperial choice is stored for the browser session.
Local storage is different from a cookie and is not automatically sent with every page request. Saved lists and favourites do not sync between devices. They can remain until you remove them or clear site data; your browser may also remove them. Session storage normally ends when its tab or browsing session closes.
You can remove project items in the cart and unstar saved calculators. To remove all saved information, clear site data for jobtotals.com in your browser settings. Save or print any list you want to keep first. Blocking storage may prevent saved lists and preferences from working.
Website delivery and security
Loading a website sends technical information to its hosting and delivery providers. This can include your IP address, requested URL, request time, browser details and referring page. Job Totals is hosted through OpenAI Sites and delivered using Cloudflare infrastructure. These providers may process request logs and use security cookies to deliver the website, detect abuse and keep it available.
Information included in a page URL can be visible to the hosting provider and in browser history. Provider retention and processing are governed by their own practices; this policy does not promise that server logs are absent or immediately deleted. Fonts from Google
We use Google Fonts to display the website’s typefaces. Your browser requests font files from Google, which receives technical request information such as your IP address and browser details. See Google Fonts privacy information and Google’s privacy policy.
Google AdSense and advertising
Job Totals includes Google AdSense code to connect the site to Google’s advertising service. Loading this code sends technical information, such as your IP address, browser details and page URL, to Google, even if no ad is displayed. Advertising is subject to Google’s approval and the site’s advertising settings.
When ads are served, Google and other third-party advertising vendors may use cookies and similar technologies to select and measure ads. Advertising cookies can allow Google and its partners to personalise ads based on visits to this website and other websites. The ads you see depend on your region, applicable consent choices and advertising settings.
You can manage Google’s personalised advertising through My Ad Center, and find choices for participating third-party vendors at YourAdChoices. These controls do not necessarily remove advertising. Read how Google uses information from sites and apps that use its services and Google’s advertising technology information.
Consent-message setup is in progress. Before enabling advertising where a consent message is required, we will provide the relevant consent controls. This policy itself does not grant consent to advertising cookies.
Analytics
Job Totals does not currently have Google Analytics installed. AdSense may process information for advertising measurement as described above.
External links and your choices
Links to other websites take you to services with their own privacy practices. Browser settings let you manage cookies and site storage. Copies you print, download or share are outside the project cart, so clearing the cart will not delete those copies.
Service providers may process technical information in countries other than your own. Depending on where you live and the information involved, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information, or complain to your local privacy regulator. Device-only project data can be managed directly using the controls described above.
